What is the shelf life of a Bite Meal?

Our meals are fresh and shipped straight to your destination. Upon reception our meals will stay good for 7-8 days if kept refrigerated. You can also freeze them and they will remain good up to 3 weeks.  

What is the shelf life of a Bite Meal Snack?

Our snacks are good for 6 days if kept at room temperature. However, if refrigerated their life increases to 2-3 weeks. If kept frozen they are good for up to 3 months. They taste very much the same regardless of the method in which they are stored. 

Order Quantity Recommendations?

To maximize value we recommend ordering in certain quantities. Quantities of 8, 12, or 16 works best as these are the amounts that our packages can hold. 

Why is the Maximum Order Size 16 Meals?

The maximum number of meals in one order is currently 16 because that is the amount that our largest box can hold. If you would like to order more meals please place two separate orders. 

How long should I heat up my meal?

Heating instructions are on the back of the meal sleeve.  

How long does it take for you to ship my meals after payment?

We strive to get your meals to you on the delivery date that you selected. Due to volume and unpredictable issues, some orders may be delayed up to one business day.

How does Pick-Up Work?

We are currently only offer several pick-up locations in the Louisville, KY area. These include Fitness 19 (Blankenbaker), Katy Hearn Gym, & Derby City CrossFit. You may pick up your meals anytime that is listed on the day of your choice. Pick up your meals by talking to someone at the front desk of the gym. Please have some form of ID that verifies who you are. 

How are your meals delivered?

We ship FedEx and keep our meals cold but not frozen to whatever location you specify. Most companies choose to use dry ice, however, we think that takes away from the freshness of the meals. 

When will my order ship?

We ship 4 days a week (Mon-Thur) and will ship FedEx overnight prior to your selected delivery date. So if you selected Friday as your delivery day, we would ship your meals out on Wednesday or Thursday dependent on your shipping selection.  

What if I need to cancel my order?

If you need to cancel an order please email us at contact@bitemeals.com. We will do our best to resolve issues quickly, however, if your order has already been processed there are no cancellations. 

What if I receive an incomplete or damaged order?

Each case is unique and we will handle each one individually. If this unfortunate and unlikely event happens to occur please contact us at contact@bitemeals.com

Where does Bite Meals ship?

Bite Meals ships FedEx anywhere in the United States.

Can Bite Meals ship to PO Boxes?

Unfortunately Bite Meals cannot ship to PO Boxes.

How is the shipping price calculated?

Express prices are naturally higher than ground pricing because of the fact that they get there so much quicker.  With that being said we have worked with FedEx to get substantial discounts on all of our shipments. We pass all of these savings on to you in order to make it as affordable as possible. The price is calculated based on distance, the weight of the package and the size of the package. Select areas have flat rate shipping options!

Are any of your products gluten-free?

Yes, some of our products are gluten-free, however they are not made in a gluten-free facility.

What are the price ranges of your meals? 

We realize that each person has different demands for what they look for in a meal. With that being said, we have made it possible for each person to find exactly what they're looking for. If you want a quick pre-made meal, our base meals are a good option that range from $7.50-$9.00. If you really like the way these meals are arranged, you can order a combo meal that consist of several base meals. Combo meal pricing is a bit cheaper as you buy in bulk but removes the ability to select your own meals. If you have very specific dietary requirements and you need a certain type of meal, we provide a custom meal option. These meals are completely tailored to the specific user and prices adjust accordingly.

How do I cancel/pause a subscription?

First you must log into your account on the Bite Meals website. Then go to the account dashboard. You may then edit the subscription. You can cancel the subscription by pausing it. Then you can continue the subscription later on if you would like. 

When am I charged for my recurring subscription?

The subscription orders are processed on Saturdays at 12:00 P.M. EST. If you would like to cancel (Pause) your subscription you must do so before Saturday. If you do not cancel it before this time you will be charged and receive meals for this week.
